How Stitched by Paws began...
Hi there! Welcome to Stitched by Paws. a cozy little shop run by a sassy tuxedo cat named Korokke-chan and her devoted human in sunny Singapore.
Korokke-chan was adopted in Japan and has been inspiring mischief (and handmade magic) ever since. When she developed skin issues in 2021, the vet asked that she wear a cone, and it pained my heart to see her in the traditional, hard e-collars. I decided to learn to sew so I could make soft, comfy collars just for her.
That simple act of love turned into a hobby, then a mission. I began experimenting with different fabrics and eventually, catnip. Korokke-chan’s always been a bit picky when it comes to toys (classic diva), so I started mixing different types of catnip and silvervine until I found something she actually liked.
and now here we are!
Word got out, and I started crafting toys for friends’ cats, with wildly positive (and sometimes hilariously chaotic) feedback. One friend’s cat was a certified toy-destroyer, so I designed a more durable canvas kicker, and it’s the first toy he hasn’t shredded to bits. Victory!
What began as a passion project has now grown into a one-woman-run shop with a lot of heart and a whole lot of fabric. Every product is lovingly handmade in-house, quality-tested by feline experts (mostly Korokke), and made to spark joy in a world full of mass-produced fluff.
I’m endlessly grateful to the friends who’ve cheered me on, tested my early creations, and inspired new ideas. This is just the beginning, I hope to keep expanding our offerings for both pets and their humans in the months to come
